How to Embody the Artist

The artist archetype is a visionary who channels inspiration from the cosmos and births it into existence.

The artist is the one who is connected to the divine and receives inspiration flooding through her.

She is the creatrix, designer, and artist of her reality.

Her essence is creative, alive, inspired, excited, passionate, intuitive, focused, meticulous.

She looks at her life as a work of art. Her thoughts are the brushstrokes and her emotions are the paint which colour every area of her life.

She expresses her artistry in many ways such as through her rituals throughout the day, the conversations she has, the work she does in the world, her relationships, her slow Sunday self care indulgences, what she wears, the trips she plans, the dinner party she hosts, birthday party she throws and more.

She envisions how her life will look and feel in her mind before she creates and manifests it for everyone around her to see.

The artist is an important archetype to embody because we are born creators, we are always creating our world around us whether we are conscious of it or not.

It allows you to shift from victim mode and feeling “poor me nothing goes my way” to “I am a powerful creator, a visionary, and artist of life. The world is my playground, my canvas, and I get to create anything that lights me up, makes me feel tingly, juicy, and alive with artistic inspiration!”

The artist archetype sees life as endless possibilities so it’s exciting and empowering to be in the role where you decide what you want to happen next, it is like a choose your own adventure game.

How to know if you would benefit from embodying the artist more in your life:

  • Do you feel like a victim, disempowered and life rarely goes your way?

  • Do you dream of doing something epic and wonderful in your life but don’t take action and follow through?

  • Does it feel like your life is already planned out and you can’t deviate from what is expected of you?

  • Do you want to be more self expressed and have many artistic outlets?

  • Do you have a lot of passion and creativity that wants to be unleashed and woven into every area of your life?

If you answered yes to most of these questions then you would benefit immensely from embodying this archetype in your life!

How I embody the artist archetype in my life:

  • Tune into my heart, intuition & body and feel into what wants to be birthed through me

  • Follow whatever feels most alive and exciting for me and trust that is what I am supposed to create next in my life

  • Meditate and visualize my dream life and feel it as if it’s already here

  • Speak out loud what I am creating in my life (the art of spell-casting)

  • Save inspiration photos that capture to the life I am creating

  • Share my artistic expression through photography, videography, writing, dance, painting etc.

  • Decide how I want each area of my life to be and take action to make that happen

Remember even if you were told you were not creative or were bad at art that does not mean you are not a creator of your reality. Being an artist of life is not reserved for a few talented people, it is a title and role anyone can take on if they claim it.

The benefit of embodying your inner artist is a life by your own design! You feel empowered, inspired and have the creative freedom to design the life you always dreamed of.
